Forensic estudies

Through forensic studies, the root cause of the different damages or situations found in the different ancient or modern structures can be determined, so that the different types of solutions can be inferred to give the client options available, and can performed at the lowest possible cost without losing structural integrity. These solutions would be integrated back into the structure, bringing it, as far as possible, back to its initial performance.

  1. Root Cause Analysis, use of traceable evidence, towards numerical results.
  2. Varied hypotheses and multiple solutions, depending on the case.
  3. Buildings, post-tensioned slab/column-beam system; large water reservoirs and concrete canals; Ports and highways; Minor constructions, low-rise multi-story buildings, high-cost residences, warehouses, streets and others.
  4. Bridges and highways (concrete, steel or both)
  5. Railway systems: trailer and rail systems (steel and concrete sleepers). Inspections (non-destructive: ultrasound test; liquid penetrant test)
  6. Other minor structures: residences and small structures in general.
  7. Redesigns, recommendation of repair systems.
  8. Geotechnics: landslide, soil differential settlements; groundwater management: protection, control, recommendations.



Protection and control

The best practices in the industry will be determined to protect and control the deterioration of these structures, so that the possible future damage and the correct maintenance that must be given to the different elements or structures that are being analyzed.

  1. Visual inspection: on site and/or through images and videos.
  2. Inspection of ultrasonic measurements (UTM) on Ships and other steel structures.
  3. Calculation of protection systems: selection of the correct materials; use of multilayer industrial coating and sacrifice systems. Inspection in the installation and application process (quality assurance tests).
  4. Recommendation of multiple solutions.



Inspections

We also specialize in carrying out structural inspections and related careers in construction works or already completed works, in order to maintain a relationship with the plans and specifications by which they were designed, thus guaranteeing the structural integrity of the asset being built. Likewise, verification of structural calculations and redesigns is carried out to make corrections not included in the plans and specifications. If required, destructive and non-destructive tests would be carried out, as appropriate. To maintain resistance and quality in materials.



Design of structures

We are able to carry out new structural designs of any type of building to give it greater stability, functionality, and to receive loads not originally contemplated. Loads from existing buildings would also be validated to verify that they comply with local and international codes for gravity, live loads, wind dead loads and earthquake resistance.



Physical and chemical solutions

Our team is able to determine chemical elements that may be necessary to neutralize or contribute to any structural element, some special protection to the different members of a concrete or steel structure. Within this, we will recommend chemical components that eliminate the carbonation; the DFT, and that correct or reduce corrosion in the elements within the concrete structure, the reinforcement and also the steel structural elements of any type.
